Incredible right?
It seems like almost a quarter of Singapore was in Compass point last saturday. And if its what you are thinking, NO! Im not at the scene, the picture credits goes to Peisi! I really wonder how she can walk through this crowd man. Two thumbs up for that. :D
Everyone was there to see the casts of The Little Nyonya. Newspapers are also publishing its watching rates almost everyday! I was commenting to Peisi on Facebook that these people really dont have to work uh? Even Bernice agrees that its crazy. Hahs.
Anyways, been reading the newspaper these few days. Not for entertainment, cause i doubt there will be any for me, but because of newspaper reflections homework. Argh, darn.
But hey! I came across this very sacarstic but funny article in The Straits Times, Life. Its about people who works as a shopping mall Santa. Let me quote a few interesting lines, as the article is simply too long to type out. :D (you can skip this part if you have no interest.)
Neil's world, Neil Humphreys :
"With the festive season fast approaching, i have a question : What do shopping mall Santas do for the rest of the year?"
"Far be it for me to cast aspersions on the jolly red-and-white chaps, but none of them is going to die from overwork."
"You'll never read a headline that says : "Doctors, Lawyers and shopping mall Santas can't handle the stress of their workload" because it will be the world's longest headline. But still, they are unlikely to top any productivity charts."
"Have you ever come across a recruitment ad for shopping mall Santas in the classifieds? Surely the job requirements include only an ability to sit still for long periods and wave, which suggests the British Royal Family could apply."
(...)
"In a delightful example of recycling, Father Christmas was repainted in more traditional Chinese costumes in January and before you can say "cross-dresser", the statue was transformed into an enormously obese person of indeterminate gender all dressed up for Chinese New Year."
"There's a potentially lucrative avenue for shopping mall Santa to explore. Four months from now, he could be the Easter Bunny."
LOL! Got laugh not? At least smile? :D
Ayeeee. anyways, im off to continue chasing my dramas.
Ciaoooo.
